Henrick founded Minesweeper.now and writes the strategy guides published on it. He builds the ranked platform itself - the board generator, the no-guessing solver that verifies every generated board is solvable without a coin flip, the leaderboards, and the seasonal competition that runs on top of them.

Why these guides say what they say

The benchmarks quoted across this site are not rules of thumb. Percentiles in Is My Time Good? are computed from every ranked game submitted to Minesweeper.now, and the pattern guides describe the same formations the site's own solver has to resolve in order to guarantee a no-guessing board. Where a figure comes from outside the site - a world record, a historical date - the guide says which authority it comes from, because those numbers genuinely differ between verifying bodies.

Where to start

New players should read the pattern guide first and then the efficiency guide. If you already clear Expert and want to get faster, start with 3BV instead - it is the measurement that tells you whether a slow board was your fault or the board's.
