How Events Work

Events are the competitive heartbeat of Minesweeper.now. Every game you play during an active event contributes to your running event score - no sign-up needed. Your score is determined by the <strong style="color:var(--text);">shard color</strong> you spin that day. Each color activates a distinct scoring formula, so your optimal strategy shifts daily.

Spin the Wheel of Fortune. Visit the event page each day to claim your free spin. Active players may earn bonus spins. Each spin grants a shard color <em>and</em> a special bonus quest tied to that shard.

Read your shard. Your shard determines today's scoring formula. A Red shard rewards speed, Orange rewards efficiency, Purple rewards win streaks, and so on. Check the table below before choosing your difficulty.

Play to your shard's strengths. Pick the difficulty and mode that maximises your formula. For speed shards, higher difficulty multiplies your score. For efficiency shards, clean chording on any difficulty beats a sloppy fast game.

Complete the bonus quest. Every spin generates a bonus quest. Finishing it adds event points on top of your regular score - never skip it.

Spend before the shop closes. After the event ends the shop stays open 3 extra days. Log in during that window to redeem your points for gems, equipment, and limited cosmetics.

Championship

A Championship runs in the <strong style="color:var(--text);">second half of each month</strong> for 3 days, focused on a specific play style (speed, efficiency, etc.). Your <strong style="color:var(--text);">single best result</strong> during that window appears on the Championship leaderboard. Final rank at the end of 3 days awards event points - the higher your rank, the larger the payout. Save your sharpest sessions for Championship days.

Tips for Maximising Event Points

  • Spin every single day. Each spin gives both a shard and a bonus quest - missing a day loses two reward sources, not just one.
  • Match difficulty to your shard. Red and Blue speed shards multiply by Difficulty - push up a level on days you feel sharp.
  • Orange shard = pure efficiency. On an Orange day ignore speed entirely. One clean 110% game beats five fast 80% games.
  • Save your best form for Championship. Only your single best result counts - choose a day when you're warmed up and focused.
  • Spend before the shop closes. Honor points are worth less than event shop gems - always check the shop on the final day.
  • Lime shard + Arena tickets = double score. A Lime shard day is the perfect time to use arena tickets - you earn event points and arena points simultaneously.
