Website Rules
These rules apply to all users of Minesweeper.now. They exist to keep competition fair and the community respectful. Violations may result in a warning, suspension, or permanent ban.
Account Rules
One Account Per Player
- One account per player. Multi-accounting is prohibited.
- You may not share your account or credentials with other players.
- Account names must not be offensive, impersonate others, or be misleading.
- Attempting to circumvent a ban by creating a new account results in permanent ban of all accounts.
Fair Play
No Automation or External Tools
- No macros, autoclickers, or automated board-solving tools.
- No manipulation of client events, fake timings, or tampered move sequences.
- No scripted multi-account farming of coins, gems, or XP.
- No external software providing an unfair gameplay advantage.
- No exploiting bugs or unintended game mechanics - report them instead.
Anti-Cheat
All ranked games are stored with full move streams for review. Suspicious results are automatically flagged and reviewed by moderators who compare client-submitted data against server-derived metrics. No legitimate game has ever been incorrectly flagged by this system - if you play fairly, you have nothing to worry about.
Community & Chat
Respectful Communication
- No spam, harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks.
- No sharing personal information of other users without consent.
- No advertising external services or soliciting in public channels.
- Follow moderator instructions - continued defiance after a warning results in a mute or ban.
Enforcement
Key Points
- Ranked games are fully recorded - every click, every timestamp. The server re-derives your result and compares it to what your client reports.
- Multi-accounting to bypass bans or farm resources results in all associated accounts being permanently banned.
- Bug exploits must be reported via the feedback system - using an exploit for personal gain is treated as cheating regardless of intent.
- Results invalidated by the anti-cheat system are removed from the leaderboard permanently, even if only discovered later.
- Appeals are reviewed by senior moderators - provide as much detail as possible to expedite the review.
Appeals
If you believe an action was taken in error, submit a feedback ticket under the "Account" category. Include your username, the date of the action, and any relevant context. Appeals are reviewed by senior moderators within 3–5 business days. Repeat or frivolous appeals may be declined without review.
Good Citizenship
- Report bugs, don't exploit them. The community benefits when bugs are fixed quickly - use the feedback form and include reproduction steps.
- Be welcoming to newer players. Top players sharing strategies and guides has always been part of what makes competitive minesweeper communities thrive.
- Legitimate records stand on their own. The anti-cheat system validates every result - you don't need to worry about competitors gaming the leaderboard unfairly.
