Minesweeper Equipment
Equipment is cosmetic gear - board skins, flags, mine icons, and avatar frames - that you buy with minecoins or craft with gems. It never changes how the game plays, but every item you own adds a fixed score to the Equipment category of your trophy total. Rarity ranges from Common to Legendary.

Crafting & Trading
Craft with gems. Every recipe combines precious gems with a minecoin fee - for example the Star Flag costs 2 Garnet + 100 coins, while the legendary Cosmic skin needs 2 Emerald + 1 Diamond + 1,500 coins.
Trophies. Each item you buy or craft permanently adds its rarity score (10 / 50 / 200 / 1,000) to your equipment score, which is scored against the Equipment trophy thresholds.
Gem trading. Equipment itself is not resold, but the gems that recipes require are freely traded for minecoins on the Marketplace - the fastest route to a missing crafting ingredient.
Key Points
- Equipment is purely cosmetic - no item changes click speed, timing, board generation, or anything else that affects ranked fairness.
- Owning items still matters competitively: every purchase or craft adds its rarity score to the Equipment trophy category (Common 10, Rare 50, Epic 200, Legendary 1,000).
- Items are permanent once acquired - equipment is not resold or traded; only gems change hands on the Marketplace.
- Rarity is fixed per item, not random - every craft of the same recipe produces the same item at the same rarity.
- All 4 slots are independent - equip any combination of skin, flag, mine icon, and avatar frame, or unequip a slot to return to the classic look.
How to Build Your Equipment
The efficient path is cheap items first, legendaries last. Cheap coin purchases (Dark Mode skin at 200 coins, Bronze Frame at 100) start your score immediately, Garnet-based crafts cover the Rare tier, and the Diamond-and-Emerald recipes at the top each add 1,000 score in one craft.
- Score is cumulative across everything you own, not just what is equipped - buying an item you never display still counts toward the trophy category.
- Sell surplus gems, not gear. Duplicate crafts are impossible (each item is owned once), so turn extra Garnet and Topaz into minecoins on the Marketplace and put the coins toward your next recipe fee.
- Legendaries decide the top tiers. The five Legendary items are worth 5,000 of the roughly 5,170 score available from the full catalogue - the Equipment category barely moves without them.
Is Equipment Cosmetic or a Performance Boost?
Cosmetic - by design. A Legendary board skin and the free Classic skin play identically: the same boards, the same timer, the same click handling. Nothing you equip gives faster reveals, better odds, or any in-game advantage, which keeps ranked times and the trophy leaderboards fair for players who never spend a coin on gear - results stay a pure question of skill, not purchases.
The competitive value of equipment lives entirely in the Equipment trophy category. The moment you buy or craft an item, its rarity score is added to your profile's equipment score - +10 for Common, +50 for Rare, +200 for Epic, +1,000 for Legendary - and your trophy total and rank are recalculated from it. Collecting gear is therefore a progression track that runs parallel to your times, not a shortcut to better ones.
Crafting Recipes and Exact Gem Costs
Every craftable item has a fixed recipe of precious gems plus a minecoin fee. These are the current recipes:
Slot-by-Slot: What You Can Equip
Board skins
The largest slot, visually and in score. Classic (the Windows-95 look) is free and always available; Dark Mode is a 200-coin shop purchase; Neon and Gold are crafted; and the two Legendary skins - Diamond and Cosmic - are the most expensive items on the site.
Flags and mine icons
Flags change the marker you place with right-click (Classic, Star, Skull, Crystal); mine icons change what appears when mines are exposed (Bomb, Skull, Virus, Plasma). Both slots have cheap Rare crafts, making them the natural first targets for new collectors.
Avatar frames
The only slot visible outside the board - frames decorate your profile picture on leaderboards, replays, and your public profile. Bronze is the cheapest item in the whole catalogue (1 Garnet + 50 coins), while the Diamond Frame is a Legendary statement piece.
