How do you flag in Minesweeper?
Right-click any unrevealed cell to place a flag. Right-click again to remove it. On mobile, long-press to flag and tap to reveal. Flags mark cells you have deduced are mines and are required for chording: once all mines around a revealed number are flagged, you can click that number to instantly reveal all remaining neighbors. In speed play, flag only when you need to chord, not for every mine you find. Unnecessary flagging wastes time. Never flag speculatively on a cell you are not certain about, because a wrong flag can trigger a chord that hits a mine and ends the game.
