Minesweeper Trophies
Trophies are awarded for your best result in 10 main categories. Your total trophy count determines your rank. Trophies only ever increase - you can never lose them.

Performance thresholds per category. Achieve any target to earn the matching trophy count in that category.
How to Earn Trophies
Play ranked. Every better time or efficiency score updates your best result and adds trophies immediately.
Complete quests for rapid XP gains that feed the Experience category.
Build your streak. Never losing focus in a session can add streak trophies quickly.
Unlock achievements - each one counts permanently toward the Achievements category.
Key Points
- Trophies never decrease - every personal best you set is locked in permanently.
- Your total across all 10 categories determines your rank - the sum, not a single best.
- The Time category is the fastest to grow early on - expert records compound quickly with practice.
- The XP category is the most reliable passive earner - every quest, game, and achievement feeds it.
- The Equipment category is the only one that requires resource investment (crafting or buying gear).
- Trophy thresholds apply to ranked standard mode specifically - custom boards must meet minimum 3BV.
How Trophy Calculation Works
Every category tracks your personal best against a fixed threshold table. When your best result crosses a threshold, the trophy count for that category is instantly updated. Your total rank trophy count is the sum of all 10 category counts. This means you can reach high ranks through excellence in a few categories, or through steady progress across many.
Which Categories to Prioritize
At Novice to Scout level: focus on Time and XP - both grow naturally with regular play. At Scout and above: add Efficiency and Win Streak as deliberate targets. For mid-to-high ranks: Arena and Achievements are the highest-leverage categories per unit of effort.
- Don't ignore the XP category. Completing quests daily passively moves you through 5–8 trophy tiers per week without touching the game's harder categories.
- Time and Efficiency compound. Improving your time naturally lifts your efficiency category too - you're not choosing between them.
- Events accelerate all categories. Playing during an active event with the right shard gives a score multiplier - your time and efficiency records are unaffected, but you earn more XP per game.
- Invest in equipment early. Even Common-quality gear gives a small score that starts your Equipment category - every point matters at low totals.
How Each Trophy Category Is Measured
Skill categories: Time, Efficiency, Mastery
Time takes your single best winning time across Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert - a 79-second Expert clear and a 79-second Beginner clear score the category identically, so early on your Beginner record does the work. Efficiency uses your best-ever efficiency percentage from any ranked win. Mastery is your win rate over your last 100 ranked games at a single difficulty, taking the best of the three difficulties - it is the one category that can be pushed by consistency alone.
Volume categories: Experience, Streak, Endurance, Achievements
Experience is lifetime XP from games, quests, and achievement bonuses - it only rises. Win Streak records your longest run of consecutive wins; one loss resets the current streak but never the record. Endurance measures marathon sessions of 100 wins, and Achievements simply counts how many of the site's 20 achievements you have unlocked - even 2 unlocks are worth the first 10 trophies.
Investment categories: Equipment, Arena, Difficulty
Equipment scores the cosmetics you own - each item adds a fixed value by rarity (Common 10 up to Legendary 1,000), so it grows with your collection, never with luck. Arena counts total arena points from PvP matches, and Difficulty tracks the hardest custom board you have ever solved - the one category that only custom games can raise.
Worked Example: Turning Personal Bests Into a Trophy Total
Take a mid-level player: best Expert time 95 seconds, best efficiency 104%, 60,000 lifetime XP, 22% Expert mastery, a longest streak of 4 wins, and 6 achievements unlocked. Reading each value against the table: 95s clears the ≤100s threshold for 80 trophies, 104% clears the 100% line for 80, 60K XP clears 50K for 40, 22% mastery clears 20% for 40, a 4-streak clears 3 for 20, and 6 achievements are worth 30.
Total: 80 + 80 + 40 + 40 + 20 + 30 = 290 trophies - ten short of Scout rank. Notice the leverage: shaving time to 90 seconds, winning one more game in a row, or unlocking two more achievements would each cross the line. Reading your own weakest categories this way is the fastest route to the next rank.
How Trophies Convert Into Ranks - Novice to Apex
Ranks are pure trophy thresholds, 100 apart: Novice at 0, Spotter at 100, Detector 200, Scout 300, Surveyor 400, Sapper 500, Pathfinder 600, Tactician 700, Strategist 800, Mastermind 900, Warlord 1,000, Titan 1,100, and Apex at 1,200. Rank matters beyond the badge: it decides which quest levels you are offered, and reaching Surveyor (400 trophies) unlocks a daily elite quest with doubled rewards.
