What is 3BV in Minesweeper?
3BV stands for Bechtel's Board Benchmark Value. It is the minimum number of clicks needed to clear a specific board with perfect technique: no wasted clicks, full chording where possible. A higher 3BV means a harder board requiring more work. 3BV/s (3BV per second) divides your board's 3BV by your solve time and is the primary competitive speed metric because it normalizes across boards of different complexity. Two players solving different boards can be compared fairly using 3BV/s. Minesweeper.now tracks your 3BV and 3BV/s for every game and displays them in your profile and on the leaderboard.
