How Minesweeper Rankings Work
- Rankings are sorted by best completion time for each difficulty and mode combination. Only your single best solve counts.
- 3BV/s (Bechtel's Board Benchmark Value per second) divides the board's measured value by solve time, adding workload context to raw seconds.
- Efficiency is the percentage of your clicks that were necessary - higher efficiency means less wasted clicks on flagging or chord-clearing.
- The Standard leaderboard allows all legal play styles. No-Guessing is a separate category for boards that were fully solvable without guessing.
- Use the season filter for a specific competition window. With no season selected, the table compares active all-time records.
How to Improve Your Minesweeper Rank
Compare one difficulty at a time.
Repeated runs on the same dimensions, mine count and mode create a cleaner personal comparison than mixing all three presets.Read 3BV/s beside time.
Time determines the main order. 3BV/s adds the measured board workload per second, while efficiency shows the relationship between 3BV and recorded actions.Keep No-Guessing results separate.
No-Guessing uses solver-filtered layouts and its own table. Compare its placement and live entrant count directly instead of assuming it is easier or harder to rank.Submit through official gameplay only.

- Use efficiency to review action choice. Exactly 100% means recorded actions equal 3BV; values above or below that describe the formula, not a universal skill tier.
- Check both Standard and No-Guessing tabs for your rank. The modes use separate tables, so comparing your place and the number of entrants shows where your current results are strongest.
- Record a time before the season ends. A ranked solve during the season gives you a place in that competition window, and the final order is archived after the cutoff.

How are Minesweeper.now rankings ordered?
Each difficulty and mode is ordered by a player's best accepted completion time. 3BV/s and efficiency add context about board workload and click use, but time sets the table order.
Are Standard and No-Guessing times compared together?
No. Standard boards may contain forced guesses, while No-Guessing boards are generated with a logical solution path. The two modes have separate ranking pools.
