How to Improve Your Minesweeper Rank

Master the deduction patterns first. NG boards are built so every cell falls to a known pattern or a counting argument. Learning the 1-2-1, 1-2-2-1, and edge-count patterns is worth more here than raw click speed.

Slow down at the frontier. On NG boards the time you lose to one wrong flag exceeds the time saved by rushing ten obvious cells. Top NG players clear the certain region fast, then pause deliberately at each deduction point.

Compare your percentile across both pools. The NG pool is smaller, so an identical skill level often ranks hundreds of places higher here than on the Standard table. Check both before deciding where to chase season rewards.

Submit through official gameplay only. Only games completed through the ranked No-Guessing mode are recorded here. Practice mode runs do not count toward the leaderboard.
