Which one do you need?
Use the 3BV calculator when you want to know how hard a specific board was. 3BV counts the fewest clicks a perfect player would need, so it separates a genuinely difficult layout from an easy one with a big opening. Divide it by your time and you have 3BV/s, the metric competitive players compare instead of raw seconds.

Where the numbers come from
Percentiles are computed from live ranked games on Minesweeper.now, not from a rule of thumb.
